Low back pain DOES NOT mean that you have a weak low back. My first thought if someone presents with Low Back Pain is core strength. Specifically, oblique strength.

The obliques need to be able to hold the ribs to the hips. If they don’t, your ribs flare and your hips fall forward (***Notice above how the obliques can pull your ribs and hips down into a position that doesn’t create low back compression***).

This puts a substantial amount of compression on your low back.

THIS IS WHERE MOST LOW BACK ISSUES STEM FROM

So stop the Superman and low back strengthening exercises and understand where the issues are usually coming from.

REMEMBER: THE LOCATION OF PAIN IS USUALLY NOT THE SOURCE OF PAIN!!!
